This was our first outdoor Climber. The structural concept is similar to a ship's mast with stays to keep it upright. To reduce the stress on the "mast", we made a ball joint at the bottom which inspired us to cock it off to one side. To hold the panels in place, we made use of high tension cables arranged in two concentric cylindrical diagrids. By positioning the panels between these two sets of cables we were able to stabilize them without having to attach them directly to the steel, which makes it unique amongst other Climbers.
