Luckey believes this climber may be his longest — about 80 feet end to end. Its main feature is an elaborate, concrete, wheelchair-accessible ramp that winds throughout. The idea, says Tom’s son and business partner Spencer Luckey, was to allow parents to have their own climber experience. It was, he adds, a massive undertaking. That one element dominated the construction process and ate up the whole budget. It was “an 800-pound gorilla,” Tom Luckey says.
